FLEXIBLE SUPPLY CHAIN TRACKING

The Maitri Platform is a coalition of grassroots organizers and affiliated platforms on five continents working to address urgent COVID-19 response gaps among organizations serving vulnerable Indigenous, rural, remote and refugee communities.  Ayadee provides free use of our TRAK supply chain tool to the Maitri Platform’s projects, and this will allow medical equipment to be transported from certified factories to end users worldwide, tracing the route of the delivery while also enabling donors and volunteers along the way to document their part of the process and tell their story.  One example of Maitri’s intial projects is retrofitting CPAP and BiPAP machines as mini-ventilators, and through other members of the network, sending these machines for use in Nigeria, the Philippines, Ghana and India.  Ayadee Holding Corp is one member organization, and others include the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt’s Responsible Leaders Network, the League of entrepreneurs and the Royal Society of the Arts

Don Roberto Climate Friendly Coffee, a German – Costa Rican company, that produces “climate friendly coffee” is using our tool to tell consumers in Germany the story of how the coffee is produced in a climate friendly manner, as well as to tell the story of the communities where the coffee is grown.  Don Roberto also participated in our initial pilot and is now taking part in the second round of testing. You can view their product tracking here

FutuX Agri-Consult Ltd., in Nigeria, is provides solutions to the problem of food safety throughout the food value chain and through its network of small farmers and farmer’s associations throughout Nigeria it is launching pilot projects using TRAK for agricultural produce.

Orissa Nari Samij, a women’s federation in the Indian state of Orissa, is using our tool to track the Turmeric supply chain.  In partnership with the Indian NGO Thread and the Scottish NGO Gaia Education, turmeric has been encouraged as a cash crop to increase family income levels, and use of blockchain is gathering greater product data as they seek to sell turmeric not only for food, but also to global cosmetic companies.  Orissa Nari Samij already participated in our initial pilot, and now is taking part in the second round of testing.  There are plans to also launch TRAK with another partner of Gaia Education, the Zambia Youth for Conservation, Agriculture and Livelihood Action (ZYCALA), which trains youth to produce honey for export.

La Joya Coffee is a family-owned coffee farm on a volcanic slope facing Lake Coatapeque in El Salvador.  They continue to produce with traditional methods and sell their coffee locally in El Salvador,.  They will use TRAK next season to trace their coffee production, transparently sharing their supply chain data directly with consumers, and they plan to use this tool as they begin exports of their coffee to the United States.

AKWA is a new platform for artists from El Salvador and eventually other developing countries to sell their artwork to wealthier countries, starting with the U.S. market.  The average artist in El Salvador earns less than 10% of the median income level of an artist in the United States, so this new avenue to sell art into major US markets could be a major boost in the income for artists in El Salvador and other developing countries.  AKWA plans to use TRAK to tell the story of the production of each individual piece of art, as well as to act as a transparent public registry for sales of artwork on the platform.  AKWA, like Ayadee, is a member of the social enterprise hub Impact Hub El Salvador.

Uptrade, an NGO also known as Goats for Water, is based in Pakistan and trades goats, which farmers have many of, for solar water heaters and solar electric generators.  TRAK will be used to trace the goat meat, from inspection and slaughter to the retailer, to verify its provenance and sell the goats at a higher price, allowing Uptrade to assist more small herders in Pakistan.

Eva Innocenti, in El Salvador, employs local artisans to produce high-end women’s handbags for export to the U.S. market and globally, producing unique one-of-a-kind pieces which can have their individual ID and story saved transparently in the blockchain through our tool.  Their goal is to promote the high-level craftsmanship of El Salvador and raise incomes for local artisans, while also supporting various local charities.  Eva Innocenti, like Ayadee, is a member of the social enterprise hub Impact Hub El Salvador.

Impact Hub El Salvador is a social enterprise hub, part of the global Impact Hub network, of which Ayadee is a member.  Ayadee offers webinars and free coaching about blockchain to members of the Impact Hub and has plans with the management of the Impact Hub a pilot program tracking the progress of companies incubated at the Impact Hub El Salvador using TRAK.

The Development Bank of Latin America (CAF – Corporacion Andina de Fomento), based in Bogota, Colombia, receives advisory services from Ayadee with a focus on use cases in the public health sector, and is exploring with Ayadee means by which TRAK could be implemented as a tool in the health sector in its member countries.
